Snow's Rise to Power: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes Movie Review
I was really looking forward to this movie, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. I thought it was really well done and it gave a great introduction to the world of the Hunger Games. I really enjoyed seeing how Snow rose to power and the thoughts behind his actions. I also enjoyed seeing how the Capitol was before the games. While it did feel a bit long at time until you reliase the true depth of the world history they are trying to tell. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of the Hunger Games. While it did feel a bit long at time until you reliase the
Why you should use a Synology NAS for your plex install
I totally agree with what James wrote in his article on KrazeReviews about using Plex on a Synology NAS. I've actually been doing this for years, and it has truly transformed how I manage my media collection. James is spot on when he talks about the convenience of having everything neatly organized in one place, as opposed to scattered across various devices. It's fantastic to have the ability to access my favorite content from anywhere with ease. And just as James pointed out, the streaming quality is outstanding, eliminating those annoying interruptions. The ample storage capacity he mentioned is a huge bonus as well. Setting up Plex was as straightforward as James described it, and now I understand why he's such a big advocate of having all your media accessible on any screen. In my opinion, James has hit the nail on the head, and I highly recommend following his advice and giving it a try, just as he suggests in his article.
Getting started with Vision PRO SKD with AppleInsider
Apple has released its visionOS SDK and developer tools, which include Xcode 15 beta 2, Command Line Tools, Font Tools, and the visionOS 1 Beta Simulator Runtime. Apple also announced developer labs to test apps on prototype Vision Pro hardware and developer kits containing the hardware will be available for purchase in July. Jason Snell's Eyes (and head) on with the Apple Vision Pro
Jason Snell got to try out the Apple Vision Pro at the WWDC 2023 event and was mostly impressed by it. He stated that the device is like a mega iPhone that you wear on your face, but wrapped in comfortable materials. The hardware is impressive, and the device automatically adjusted to the width of his eyes. The Vision Pro has no pointer, and instead, its eye tracking knows exactly where you're looking, and your gaze is the pointer. The gestures are intuitive, and each app window on the Vision Pro has a small horizontal line at the bottom, just like what you'll find at the bottom of an iPhone screen. The Vision Pro defaults to displaying content layered on the real world around you, but you can turn the Digital Crown clockwise to immerse yourself in an alternate reality. Jason was impressed with the high-quality dual 4K displays, and 3-D photos and videos looked amazing. He experienced a FaceTime call with another Vision Pro user, and the audio portion of the conversation was very well handled. However, Jason was not sold on the Digital Personae as a concept and had trouble finding a comfortable fit for the device. Overall, he was very impressed with the hardware and software, but the unanswered question is, to what end?
Mark Zuckerberg Unfazed by Apple's Vision Pro, Believes Meta's Quest 3 Will Reach a Wider User Base
Mark Zuckerberg is not concerned about Apple's Vision Pro, stating that it does not present any major technological breakthroughs that Meta has not already explored. He also believes that Meta's upcoming Quest 3 headset, which will be much cheaper than the Vision Pro, will give them an opening to reach a wider user base. Zuckerberg believes that Apple's vision for how people will use the device is "not the one that I want" and that there is a philosophical difference in how the companies approach the metaverse and presence. Though Meta has been trying to position itself as a leader in the virtual and augmented reality space, it has struggled to reach the higher end and general computing market that Apple is targeting.
