Headline: Spotify releases beta version to test music apps

Spotify released a new platform which lets third party developers build apps into there music service. Within this beta release there are 11 apps included for testing. Each app offers something different. Last.fm's app, for example recommends artists, albums, and tracks, personal history tracking and playlisting, and integration with Last.fm's database of artist information and images. TuneWiki's app shows you the lyrics to the songs you are listen to.
